If you hear laughter echoing down the halls at Traditions at Hunter Station, there’s a good reason. Our residents are gearing up for the 2nd Annual Hee Haw Show—a tradition that has quickly become one of the most beloved events in our community.
For many of our residents, Hee Haw is a fond and familiar memory. Bringing it back to life has been pure joy. This year’s show features a reenactment of the classic show, complete with cornfield jokes, live ducks, and plenty of goofy, silly, hillbilly fun. One of our favorite moments includes 32 “hillbillies” lined up with a full set of teeth, a nod to the show’s classic humor.
"We are so excited about our 2nd annual "Hee-Haw" show. It is put on by our residents, featuring corny jokes in the cornfield. Our residents are ready to show off their skills." LaCosta Fike, Activities Director, Traditions at Hunter Station
What makes this event truly special is that our residents drive it. They perform most of the acts, rehearse for nearly three months, and even wrote an original poem for the show. Their creativity, energy, and enthusiasm make this tradition shine.
